Am I there yet?!

Dear You,

I can't wait for you to join me as I travel the many miles between the-Loveliest-Village-On-The-Plains-of Alabama and the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to serve at my favorite place in the world-- Camp Wojtyla!

Last summer at Camp W changed my way of living in every way possible, and set me bushwhacking down the trail towards figuring out who God has painstakingly, meaningfully, and lovingly created me to be, and how to be that person to the fullest extent, every day of my life, with the greatest joy. Disclaimer: This perilous journey may or may not have involved bruises, cuts, and scratches, and the loss of some personal baggage. Right-o!

(It just occurred to me that the choice of adverbs in reference to 'created' was no coincidence... each beautifully (not by my skill, of course, but by God's) illustrates the different (yet, the same) natures of the Trinity. Painstakingly, because Jesus literally staked His precious life on me... His blood was spilled for my sins. Meaningfully, because God the Father is infinitely all knowing ["for I know the plans I have for you..."] and created me specially from the beasts of this world ["made in His image and likeness"]. And lovingly, because the Holy Spirit pours down the love of God in the form of Grace on me. What a beautiful mystery!)

Hopefully, I will be able to keep you updated with what we're up to at Camp, any prayer requests, or other thoughts...

But until then, you may wonder? Well, guys, I'm just too impatient. I thought of this blog idea back when returning to Camp W for 2011 was still just a twinkle in God's eye. I restrained myself, with what I consider to be incredible poise and grace (hah!), until I finally received confirmation that indeed my Jesus was allowing me to return.

So. Be on the lookout for a recap of Camp 2010 (I'll keep it short, I promise...) and other fun things!

JP II... Pray for Us!

With Love,

Allison
